Activities under the second European program for the promotion of Cretan agricultural products, primarily PDO & PGI products, titled “The European Food Masters – Taste the Authentic / EU Food Masters”, continue in full swing.
In particular, importers, buyers, journalists, and bloggers from Germany were recently hosted in Crete as part of the program. During their stay, they visited production units (wineries, olive oil standardizers, cheese dairies, etc.) and held B2B professional meetings with local businesses. This trade mission was organised in collaboration with the Consulate General in Munich and was accompanied by the Secretary of the Second EU Office of the Consulate General, Mr. George Lyberis.
The program, which has secured one million euros in funding, aims to promote PDO & PGI products in Greece, Germany, and France, strengthen the competitiveness of these products, improve their recognition in the target markets, and ultimately increase their availability and trade.
